1. Introduction

This chapter includes an overview, receiver features, and devices in the package.

1.1 Overview

TAS - Z6 Robotic Total Station, equipped with a powerful Android-based intelligent system, offers a user-friendly experience, enabling quick operation and enhancing work efficiency. Its Power Search and Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) functions are remarkable.

Power Search can find prisms in any direction within 300 meters in 15 seconds, while ATR ensures precise aiming, allowing for accurate measurements within 1200 meters. This enables single-man operation and continuous monitoring. TAS-Z6 is a smart choice for power, performance, and productivity which essentially optimize the time and cost with utmost accuracy.

1.2 Receiver features

The TAS-Z6 Robotic Total Station has following features:

  • High-precision angular measurement with 1″ accuracy, ensuring reliable and consistent results.

  • Power Search (PS1) and Automatic Target Recognition (ATR2) enable rapid prism detection, precise locking, and continuous tracking without repeated manual aiming.

  • Single-prism measurement range up to 6,000 m with distance accuracy of ±(1 mm + 1 ppm).

  • Non-prism3 measurement capability up to 1,000 m, providing flexibility for complex environments.

  • Android-based intelligent operating system with an intuitive touchscreen interface and optimized workflows.

  • Ultra-quiet drive system allows silent operation in urban, indoor, and noise-sensitive environments.

  • Supports true one-man operation and long-term continuous monitoring.

  • 600 m long-range Bluetooth ensures stable wireless communication, enabling reliable remote control and automated total station operation over extended distances.

  • A built-in 5-megapixel HD wide-angle camera provides real-time visual information of the measurement environment.

Note:

(1) High-speed prism search function that automatically scans a wide area to rapidly detect and lock onto the target prism.

(2) Automatic detection, recognition, and tracking of the target prism for continuous measurement and robotic operation.

(3) Distance measurement performed without a reflector, using direct laser reflection from the target surface.

The TAS-Z6 Robotic Total Station is equipped with two rechargeable lithium batteries, which can support 12 hours of work.
