USV Recovery

Power Down

  1. Navigate the USV back to the launch point using manual mode.
  2. Move the 3-Stage Switch (Left) to Disarm to disable the propellers before lifting the USV from the water.
  3. Lift the USV out of the water carefully, avoiding contact with the propellers.
  4. Power off the USV by pressing and holding the power button for approximately 2 seconds, then tapping the Power Off icon.
  5. Power off the H20 remote control using the same procedure.

Hull Inspection

After every survey session:

  • Rinse the hull with fresh water to remove salt, sediment, and biological material
  • Inspect the hull for cracks, impact damage, or wear
  • Check the propeller guards for debris entanglement or damage
  • Verify the battery compartment seal is intact and water has not entered the compartment
  • Check the echo sounder transducer face for scratches or impact damage

Equipment Unloading

  1. Remove the propeller plugs and store them safely.
  2. Disconnect and remove the GNSS receiver from the quick release mount.
  3. Disconnect the serial cable and store it coiled loosely to prevent kinking.
  4. Open the battery compartment, disconnect the XT90S connector, and remove the battery.
  5. Remove the RF antennas by unscrewing them from the connectors.

caution

Always store the lithium batteries at approximately 50% charge in a cool, dry place. Storing at full charge or fully depleted shortens battery life and may create a safety hazard.
